YAWN - so called because the young people who thought up the name (an acronym of Youth At Wycliffe Night) were certain that no-one would have the courage to announce it from the pulpit; they were certainly right in the early days! But YAWN is now an established part of the week and never referred to in any other way.
Each Friday in term-time around a dozen or so young people (secondary school age) meet for a programme of spiritual and social activity. We are a Christian group so we take time to study what the bible has to say to young people in the 21st century. But we also have as much fun as we can - games, craft, quizes, food in the winter; ditto but outdoors in the warmer weather.
We are always happy to meet visitors and those who might be interested in joining us.
